Over coffee this morning, I was thinking about this disgusting war with Iran, and an old John Lennon song popped into my brain. John Lennon and Yoko Ono were big protesters of the Vietnam War back in 1969 and ran a billboard campaign in major cities saying: “WAR IS OVER, IF YOU WANT IT! Happy Christmas from John and Yoko. The song, released in 1971, was titled “Happy Xmas (War Is Over).” See the lyrics below.
I never understood war. Does anyone? My uncle was killed in WWII, the Battle of the Bulge. My father fought in the Korean War and Vietnam War and always told my brother and me to never join the Army or Marines during wartime. He insisted that we tell “them” that we are Conscientious Objectors, assuming that we would serve our country. I joined the Air Force, and my brother joined the Navy, but neither of us was a conscientious objector.
I enjoyed the Hippie Era of the 60s and 70s, but could not attend the 1969 3-day Woodstock Rock Festival in New York. Did any of you get to go? Let me know!

So, is the war over yet? I’m guessing that Christmas will be over before the war in Iran. But, that’s just me thinking again.

Trumpski will stop the fighting just before the midterm voting begins. That way the price of gas and groceries will go down and the idiots will thank the Repubs by voting for them. How stupid they are.
Well, even if the war ended today, it would take quite a while for the prices to come back down. The reason oil prices dropped quickly is the tankers that were stuck on the inside are all full tankers. And once the tankers are filled, it takes weeks for them get back to the U.S.
